Online Submissions « Island Heritage Study: "Another strength is the resources provided by our elders in the communities. These need to be recorded and shared."

Online Submissions « Island Heritage Study: "I would like to see the IRIS Group hand over to the PEI government a report which is as compelling, strategic and well thought out as the report which John Manley recently presented to the federal government. As with the Manley report, it may not be the “balm” that the client (government) is expecting or wants to see, but it forthrightly says what needs to be said."

Prince Edward Island is connected to a rich history of 1.Transportation
2.Communication
The railway is a ghost on Prince Edward Island.
We have a national treasure to preserve and to protect.
Prince Edward Island communities have common ties.
Connecting history to every station. The railway weaves through every cross road on Prince Edward Island,
There are less than 400 railway workers left on Prince Edward Island.
The confederation trail still needs to fulfill it original vision and become a provincial heritage site.
Commemorating our links of steam and communication with Canada.
Every community on prince edward island has a railway story and a historic adventure to present.
Prince Edward Island needs a Dynamic icon of heritage.
Our communities railway legacy is a common Icon that has not yet been fully explored or developed.
Prince Edward Islands history of transportation and Communication is told in the stories stones and station all along the confederation trail.

Provincial Museum of Prince Edward Island
Provincial Museum of Prince Edward Island: "So contentious was the debate that Liberal Leader Robert Ghiz promised in last May’s election campaign to put the move to Murray River on hold until it could be reviewed. And in the Ghiz government’s first budget last fall, it announced it would spend $75,000 to fix up the current artifactory location, presumably as a measure to protect the collection while buying some time to settle this and other heritage issues."
